Re: Rev Limit?

And of course, you can over-rev any engine by changing down too soon ;-)

Re: matchless story

Good read, I've not seen that before. I have the AJS Model 20 500 twin, it came off the same production line as the Matchless G9, the only difference was the branding at the end.
It's a lovely bike to ride on dry, sunny days - It always puts a smile on my face :D

Re: 2017 TT

My worry is that Guy will be trying too hard this year He has got arguably the best tool for the job, and he is with the top team in the paddock IMHO.
I hope he doesn't ride beyond his limits 8O

Re: End of an era.

Know how you feel. I used to play bass in groups for many years. After the last one split-up I never bothered looked for anything else. The weirdest thing was over Christmas, I had never had to plan anything before, it was all booked for me months in advance by our agent, the first time I thought WT...

Re: Do Honda's have the worst fuel efficiency?

I usually get 100 miles out of a tank, but by then my knees need a stretch anyway. You pay your money and take your choice - All that instant torque has to come from somewhere :D I find it hard to ride at a constant throttle on the 'storm. Its too much fun giving it a handful - Maybe this is part of...

Re: RIP Andrew Sachs...

Classic comedy at its best. What a clever guy to get it so spot on. He also did hundreds of voice-overs. What a sad day. RIP

Re: Power Commander 5 on SP-2 - Crank Position Sensors?

Sorted  Bit of a job, but it's on now. Test ride tomorrow with a bit of luck. Comparing the pictures in the instructions to my bike, the oil rad' has been moved to where it shows the CPS connector and the horn. Maybe this was only on later bikes, or UK bikes? Anyway, its different. I eventu...

Re: Power Commander 5 on SP-2 - Crank Position Sensors?

Well, I pulled the poor SP to bits last night. I took of the front fairing and front engine cover and still can't see any sign of the connector for the CPS. My bike is 2007 registered, but an '06 build, I'm beginning to think that they changed this bit on later bikes, does anyone know? In the worksh...

Re: Power Commander 5 on SP-2 - Crank Position Sensors?

Dynojet support say it is next to the top of the rad on the left, (they think!) I think it will be easier to pull the front fairing off as well so that I can get a better view.

Power Commander 5 on SP-2 - Crank Position Sensors?

Hello Peeps, I bought a PC5 at the NEC last week to smooth out the low RPM a bit on the SP-2. I even got a discount :D I came to fit it today and removed the left fairing, seats and raised the tank as per the instructions. I found the main connector just under the tank as stated, but there is also a...

Re: Might be buying an SP-2, Any advice please.

Sweet. My favourite paint job too. Damn good bike if you ask me but then, I am slightly bias ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah, I nearly got a white/grey one, but when this came up I really liked it. It was from over in Hull, it was quite funny because I said to my lad that I had seen a n...
