Re: Ride Magazine we f@cking salute you

Yup, it's January. I subscribe so got mine a couple days earlier than the shops get it. Perhaps we should one day descend upon the twin towers of the Ride HQ, probably somewhere in Peterborough to thank them, by way of showing off our 'cult' bikes. Assuming the word 'cult' may keep values up a bit a...

Ride Magazine we f@cking salute you

Fantastic spread of pages on the Storm. Puts the Fast Bikes article to shame. Thank you Ride, you have made my year.

Re: Fast Bike November Issue

What a waste of £4.30. The mag is garbage. Half a dozen twats reviewing weekend blat machines. That Rootsy, what a nob.

Re: my new "cover"

Monty Don will be round soon if you leave it in that faux greenhouse! Probably think its a winter pansie! You ought to buy fifty of then, batch them up as ' motorcycle storage' and sell em for five times the price like everything else is when it's bike related, tomtom sat navs, bungees, polish, etc ...

Lights out on my speedo dial

Not a big deal, as I don't ride much at night, and will get it sorted when mot comes round, but.....is it a simple bulb, or is it more sinister?, just noticed today, come back from homebase ( 50 mile round trip, for an 8 mile journey!!) half four ish and speedo not lit up, right hand rev side is tho...

2nd Anniversary

Bit of history for me, since 1999 I have never kept a bike for more than 18 months. So the firestorm ownership has gone the full term, now 2 years. So that says something. Well I did add to the herd this Summer, but that takes nothing away from her. Must Vac bag her up in the next few weeks.

Re: VAC Bag

Thank you tattoo, that's what I wanted to hear, can't afford the heated garage like the rich guys, just got the £1699 Storm and a new model 56 plate Tiger. £4999. Will get a bag for both as I tend to take 3 months off from the salty roads, November to mid February.Bag was around £50.will get the mis...

Re: VAC Bag

View it online. It's a winter storage solution.....basically bag it up, suck the air out with a Hoover nozzle and seal.

VAC Bag

Has anyone got one?

I bought one, but not used it yet.

We are talking about the bike sealing bag, not a vacuum cleaner bag for any clever clogs out there. :D

Look forward to any feedback/experiences,

Absolutely lovin it

Went out for a quick hour on Friday night, silly really , a trip to Wickes followed by an Amazon gift card for my sons mate. Absolutely nailed it ,never got into fourth, carved the traffic up and murdered a following BMW S1000 who just couldn't keep up with my filtering antics, a respecting nod from...

Nodding to other bikers

Since I got my Tiger 1050 I notice that I get very few nods. :( But when I ride the Firestorm I get loads. :D Can other bikers just nod at anything on two wheels, as if only they knew whilst riding the Tiger I do actually own a Firestorm as well. Think I going to paint in large letters on the front ...

Re: In earphones/reply

Ultimate ear. The plugs are moulded to your ears. You can oay a bit more and have small speakers inserted in the plug, the lead has a standard jack on the end to plug into your iPod, etc. the plugs also keep wind etc out but let the sound in.

See web. Ultimate Ear.

Re: My First VTR

Match your speed hand with your rev hand, if this makes sense on the clocks.
Turn up the idle a tad also, which in my case avoids me stalling at the first roundabout I come to!

Also paint it yellow as it will shift faster

Revived with 2nd bike

Funny how things work out. I bought myself a Triumph Tiger 1050 the other week, real minter, full triumph luggage, 56 plate 13k miles. Not only has it got me out and enjoying bikes again, but the punch line is I enjoy the Firestorm even more now after riding the upright, squelchy, mile munching Triu...
