Re: Brisk plugs

I prefer Denso plugs, but overall, there are good experiences with Brisk plugs in bikes. VTR as well, works as NGK does.

I know, but this is quite noticeable when accelerating, and without any negatives, bike is still smooth on closed throttle. So for me there is no point taking more.

Roger´s picture is a bit confusing for engineers, this is result of his spec, and for me works perfectly.

Re: fork springs (again)

I think by the time you've messed about rebulding the OE damper with new internals you may as well go for a complete aftermarket replacement, I'd really like a Nitron with seperate comp / rebound damping, I used Nitron on my TVR and was very impressed with both the dampers and Nitron themselves Guy...

Re: fork springs (again)

secondly I’d probably try to find the funds for a replacement rear damper, whether that be a aftermarket (nitron, ohlins etc) or a adapted Honda damper would be governed in my case by available funds but I think almost any thing would be an improvement on the obviously tired 16yr old original, so w...

Re: Danmoto conicals

Just in case you don't know. I done quite a lot of research on Danmoto's when I was considering some. Interestingly enough, apparently the DanMoto baffles are designed to go in the opposite end of the can to the norm, between the link pipe and can. Some people who still think they are two loud have...

It will, my with 5mm add height on shock is ok. See the stand sitting fully on the ground.

Re: Air filter mod?

You can't compare a mechanical filter, like a paper one, to a K+N which is oiled, and works by having larger voids between the cotton fibres, but coating them with sticky oil which attracts and traps and debris or detritus. Simply looking through it isn't very scientific! And paper filters (like va...

Re: Air filter mod?

I did. My feel was little bit smoother run. As written above, BMC and KN don´t have this edge as well, and filtration is worse than paper filter ... Are you talking about particle size or flow rate? Just amount of dust coming trough the filter. But it is more theory, I found only one old test sayi...

Re: Exhaust Insulation Wrap

I have rear pipe wrapped. Cannot consider theoretical better cooling of rear cylinder and effect on rear shock, but when cruising in city, seat is significantly cooler. So it could work.

98 GSXR750 with carbs gives about 128HP, later 750 SRAD with fi 135HP. I suppose fuel injecion itself could give about 5-10 more.
