Re: Wobble/shaking when braking?
2 options: disc runout, but I expect this would kick to the lever. If it is ok, then clean the brake pistons. If it doesn´t help, change all piston seals and dust seals. edit: bad piston seals you notice only in higher speeds, if it is wobbling in lower speeds, it could be maybe warp as mentioned a...

Re: Red Storm
Thanks Stephen I understand the front needle being a slot up to lean it out a bit as the rear should run a bit richer to cool it down. But why the plugged slide hole with the two long stack's or are you referring to a third (dynojetted) hole. Very interesting. (:-}) Plugged front slide ho...

Re: Carb settings
If you will stuck with the hole in midrange when adjusting, try to plug one slide hole in front, and put back original paper filter - biggest difference of this kit to Dynojet is that needle slide speed is unchanged - doesn´t work with cotton filter (BMS in my case). Don´t use their 50 pilot jets,...

Re: Red Storm
cybercarl: rear needle in the middle, front one slot up (to get needle lower), plus plugged one slide hole on front. A/F I don´t know, it was done by Idle Drop Procedure described in manual.

Re: would this be worth it ?
there are some doubts about filter efficiency compared to std paper filter. Increased oil flow helping the engine when start doesn´t seem relevant, I believe all oil filters have valve opening the filter, when engine oil have sufficient pressure. some article about http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/...
Re: PILOT JET
I just needed the part number of the slow jets lol I agree it's interesting stuff (carbs) I just wish I had my own dyno and a sound proof booth lol Do I could play all night long :-) KEIHIN N424-21, but I see it si here already ... :-) Bought it here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KEIHIN-CARB-PILOT-JET...

Re: different plugs front to back
I would argue this, rear is going to run hotter liquid cooled or other simply because it has got hot air flowing over it from the front head / engine and the front has cool / ambient air aiding cooling + heat coming from rear header pipe where is not incoming cool air, thats the reason why storm ha...
Re: Fly wheel
Update on flywheel info as Mr Ditchfield replied my question super quick.
- lightening only on steel rotor, not on magnet
- balancing is not needed if you follow Roger´s dimensions
- anyway flywheel is dynamically balanced separately from crankshaft in Honda factory

Re: Red Storm
i like it  do those fork braces make much difference ? ? I believe yes, front is more stable, but it is hard to say. I must say today that going with CBR954 front-end seems to be better idea than expensive reworking of these forks, but as I know me, I´d want to put racetech stuff into the...

Re: Red Storm
How much did you take off the flywheel and what is the effect? I have an old cbr600 motor in my shed and I think the rotor may fit if I swop the sprag clutch over. The standard one looks a bit meaty hanging off the end of a skinny shaft. New diameter of steel rotor is 146 mm, and thickness 10.15 mm....
Re: Fly wheel
theres also roger ditchfields mod which cuts into the magnets.... not recommended for the road tbh (imo) and the dimensions didnt tally up with 2 std flywheels! I had a long discussion with friend doing lightening per roger´s picture (which is little bit confusing for people with technical educati...

Re: Brake Caliper Upgrade
jonacol: I highly recommend Ferodo STAC FDB2079 pads. Works great anywhere - hot, cold, dry, wet, on track ..., and pad wear seems to me ok.
If your discs are not under service limits (thickness, wheel wobble), then there is no point to swap to EBC.

Re: Stick Coils Cutting Help Please
After removing black cover wrapping, you´ll see wires are long enough. I measured required lenght on bike instead of following recommended. Be careful not do damage front retaining clip holding the cable. It´s little bit tricky to release.
