Re: vtr diet

It wasn´t really easy despite the same bearings are used, but not too complicated either. Main part was custom made brake discs, but this is problem for oem forks, guys with radials are fine :) This is what I wrote here, unfortunately pictures are gone and I don´t have any on work computer ... 1st ...

You have " 1st gen triumph 675 wheels " on your VTR?
If so is there a thread on the swap someplace ?

Re: vtr diet

thanks. the wheels seem very heavy. i read somewhere that the 954 blade set up is a lot lighter than stock. dont know if this is true not as heavy as one would think. Weight save with Triumph 675 wheels which are supposed to be very light is 2,24 kg / 5,18 lb on both. oem wheel weight for complete ...

Re: New sealed Stator connector

You could offer a stator and rr exchange service? I "could" but Id rather not get into used stators...now I could add a connector to a users stator and send it back with the new RR kit and matching plug. doable at reasonable cost for US folks, but across the pond it would add $70 or more ...

New sealed Stator connector

I finally found a solution for the crappy old style unsealed stator connector Not a cheap option at about $16 per set https://i.postimg.cc/yDCS84Y7/DTP4-N-1.jpg And a huge stumbling block for common use for most here, it needs a $300 OEM HDT-48-00 crimp tool or a $400 DMC AF8 M22520/1-01 crimp tool ...

Re: CBR600 Stick Coil - does polarity matter?

Hi, I am fitting CBR600 stick coils and wonder if the polarity matters when wiring the CBR connectors on to Firestorm. Cheers, Stewart. Yes black with white trace is the ground, and common to both coils. The other wire (colored not black) is the hot one.. Id also mention I make custom plug and play...

Re: Tilt cutout switch advice.

Or the fuel cut relay from the bike the pump come off. CBR600 I think, then work out how to wire it in, I'll try and remember to check my VFR manual tomorrow to see how it wires in (same relay as CBR) unless you've already checked Nick ? Looking at a CBR600F4i diagram, https://i.postimg.cc/RW6WF40L...

Re: Tilt cutout switch advice.

With the fuel pump fitted I need it to stop pumping fuel if the bike cuts out. So all I need is a relay Well no I think you would need a logic circuit and a relay. I cant think of any item, controller, ect that is "powered" only if the motor is running, that could be used directly as a re...

Re: Tilt cutout switch advice.

Every Fi street bike I can think of has one....go to a breaker and buy a salvage one for cheap or buy a new "replacement" one. BUT... Keep in mind there are several types I can think off off top of my head and likely more... The type that create an open circuit when tripped are not designe...

Re: Bigger clutch slave cylinder.

Hi folks. Do any other Honda bikes use bigger clutch slave cylinders than the Firestorm. What about the Cbr1000rr? Another Firestorm owner suggested to me about using a bigger clutch slave to get a better clutch feel and less grab when launching hard away from the lights. Thanks. I've found the ins...

Re: Manual Cam Chain Tensioner Installation Guide (MCCT's)

I'm sure this is going to seem like a silly question, but I don't understand why the valve covers and carburetors have to come off in order to replace the tensioners. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm sure I'm just not understanding. Why not just put each cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke when...
