Re: Norwich Visit

I'm originally from Norfolk. Norwich is genuinely a fine city and Norfolk, especially North Norfolk is bootiful!

I may have used my webbed hands and feet to swim around the Bay of Biscay to Spain but Norwich/Norfolk is a special place, well worth a visit!

Re: Gear Ratio?

Thanks for the comments/advice - I will look at changing the chain/sprockets and bleeding the clutch and see how it goes, it would be nice to smooth the gear change out slightly, that's for sure. Thanks also lloydie for the Evo gear shift link, has anyone ever tried this mechanism? looks quite expen...

Re: Gear Ratio?

Thanks for the replies and advice, my Storm is 15 yrs old so I expect a bit of clunky'ness from the gearbox but I also have a 20yr old CB100 SF and the gear change is relatively smooth, so I'd like to try and smooth out the VTR if it's possible. Tony - you mentioned bleeding the clutch, I understand...

Gear Ratio?

Well I've had my Storm for a couple of weeks now and despite the seat being scorched by the local forest fire, I'm very impressed with it. The seat is at the Upholsterers shop at the moment, so the bike is off the road for a couple of days. I like the style and the uniqueness of the Storm and the so...

Re: My Firestorm in a Firestorm!

It was all pretty scary, one huge forest fire, roaring towards us, we had to evacuate the house [on police orders] so took the car with wife, kids, dog and cat. When we got far enough away I was thinking sh1t! what about my bikes! I have 4 bikes including the Storm, so I sneaked back to check on the...

My Firestorm in a Firestorm!

I wait what seems ages to get my Firestorm transported to Southern Spain, despite an extreme heat wave I have been riding and enjoying it. 3 days ago we were hit with temperatures of 42 degrees! and a forest fire which surrounded our house, it burnt out a massive area and many of our neighbour's pos...

Re: what indicaters?

Yep, I'm in the same boat - I bought a tail tidy but it means far too much butchery to the rear of the bike [for me] so I have gone for some minor surgery and a smaller number plate. It looks neater but now those rear indicators look huuuuuge! Does anyone have any recommendations for mini/smaller re...

bloody hell she was stuck to the seat    I think you need to, very delicately, bring up the subject of feminine hygiene  All is fine on the hygiene side - I Think the attachment might have something to do with the thumbing, rhythmic vibrations coming through the seat though! Re: Storm arrives in Spain - at Last!!!

Thanks for the comments chaps The roads out here are generally good but many of the roads tend to have less grip than UK roads. You can often see the sheen, almost like a mirror when the sun is low. When building roads over here, they mix marble powder and additives in with the Tarmac to stop the Ta...
