Raising Your Rear!
I have been thinking of doing this using spacers, possibly using these spacers on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CBR1100-XX-BLACKBIRD-VTR1000-FIRESTORM-3mm-REAR-SHOCK-SPACER-SHIM-/130764081689?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1e72258a19#ht_1203wt_1413 He is selling 3mm and 6mm spacers - I w...

   It's something we do quite regularly in Spain, it's all quite normal - Just ask BSM You done your R/R yet? (:-}) Hi Carl, Yes, my R/R arrived in 3 or 4 days, quite a record for the Spanish Postal Service! I got a secondhand R/R from a CBR125, via ebay and it works fine. I'm just g...

Re: oops mistake taking picture
Why would anyone take photos of an exhaust with their tackle hanging out?..unless it's a bizzare new sex game 8O It's something we do quite regularly in Spain, it's all quite normal - I guess it's a cultural thing. Indeed, I have just returned from taking photos of my neighbours new [highly polishe...

Re: nice storm on gumtree
I looked around for almost 6 months before I bought my Storm, I'm not exaggerating when I say I scanned through 100's if not 1000's of adverts. In my experience my top price would be £1600 for this bike but aiming for £1300

Re: How to screw your life up....
Not unless the skip was jam packed with gold bullion, packed so tight it needed ramming by a works van to ease the first few slabs and enable an easy get away. No doubt, at the same time - once the gold bullion was safely stashed in a lock up garage he used an alibi, he was a pissed up wedding guest...

I don't flash or expect any other road user to do anything predictable - I think it's better to take whats in front of you, then treat every case as a one off. Treating cars as blobs which will get out of the way, once flashed and leave an open road is a dangerous. Best to look at the car, the drive...

Re: something sweet on my back seat!
Believe me Tony, cats and motorcycle seats don't mix. When the sun comes out, Pussy likes nothing better than to feel the warmth of a black motorcycle seat! She will stretch out, relax, lick her paws, then dig those long claws into your seat and pluck the phuck out of it! I have 4 bikes and 2 cats, ...

Ear plugs are a bit like butt plugs, nobody really needs them but some swear by them.
I prefer to arrive at my destination with my ears ringing to the handsome tune of V twin noise!
Well, I would if my f'kin V twin was on the road! grrrrrrrr!

Re: Fried Battery
Thanks for all the advice guys much appreciated, I just have to wait for the Reg/rec to arrive now! Seems like I've been waiting weeks already! To add to the bad luck associated with the bike I've just had to order another V5 as the one I had sent on, has been lost by the Spanish Postal System grrrr...

Re: Fried Battery
Thanks Tony, I've been a little unsure about the advice from my Mechanic, so other than briefly starting her up yesterday [I was hankering just to hear it, if only for 20 seconds!] So I've taken it off the road until the new reg/rec arrives, wasn't sure if I was justified in being that cautious but ...

Re: Both my Firestorms STOLEN (** 1 recovered !!)
I had a bike stolen couple of years ago, it put me on a downer for weeks, so I know how it feels. There are a few breakers in this part of the world [Southern Spain] but none of them ever seem to have a complete bike, even when they list a new broken bike, there never seems more than 30 spare parts ...
