Chain rivet tool

Hi all, long time since I've been on here as my VTR is in dire need of repair, & it's a big favour to ask, but does anyone have a chain rivet tool I could borrow/use that they could bring to me? I live in-between Coventry & Rugby & my current bike (an RC36) has shed it's chain & I ca...

Re: Firestorm for sale.

I have Bazza's manuals on my bike, it was just a selling point I would put to my mate, but you are right, cheap & easy to replace

Re: Firestorm for sale.

Sorry if this creates a shootstorm, but does it still have ACCTs fitted? My mate's looking for a bike (he wants my VFR but till i repair my Firestorm it's my only runaround) and I'm trying to get him to buy a VTR

Re: Chosen a firestorm and picking up on saturday

I manage about 110 before the warning light comes on, but to be honest the vibes & the plank of a seat means you'll be wanting to get off for a rest before 110 miles. Unless you're a masochist of course.......

Re: Oil cooler line fittings

I bought a second set of oil lines from ebay, took them to Pirtek (in Coventry) then got them to make up custom hoses for me using the original end fittings, cost me about £20. *Edit* I think you are in the USA E Marquez? So guessing knowing about Pirtek in Cov won't be much help to you, sorry.... :...

Re: Thinking of buying a Viffer....

I took the plunge & bought the VFR750, kind of gutted I missed out on a 97 VTR with 33k on the clock for £1100 the night before, so possibly a knee jerk reaction but I needed a bike desperately. Got there & the pics didn't do it justice, it was obviously taken care of, not a tarted up the ni...

Re: Anyone selling an engine?

I've just bought a VFR750 to tide me over, not going to make any rash decisions and buy an high mileage engine for the sake of getting back on the road just yet, will wait patiently I think. That one on ebay at the moment is £575 plus it's got 48k on it, and ACCTs. It's in Crook. :problem: http://w...

Anyone selling an engine?

Right, so I've really done it this time, I appear to have killed my bike (or my engine at least). It's a bit representative of my luck that I missed Paultandy's sale of one a few weeks back. So now on the look out for a good, solid reasonable mileage lump. That or a cosmetic nail that I can swap all...

Re: Thinking of buying a Viffer....

Ive no doubting the motor will be fine but a £1000 bike soon becomes a £1500+ bike if the chassis needs bearings, the suspension is shot and it needs chain, sprockets and tyres...thats what i would focus on even more than the engine perhaps. His list: "The bike is in good running order and rid...

Re: Thinking of buying a Viffer....

I currently have my VTR on the 2nd lowest adjustment on the shock, I'm used to the way it handles, so when we replaced the shock because of the pothole that destroyed it & the shock linkage the mechanic didn't adjust it down from the fourth notch & I could feel the difference immediately &am...

Thinking of buying a Viffer....

I could really do with your help, I've been having trouble with my VTR so much lately that I need a back up bike I think. Looking at a 95 VFR750, with 63K on the clocks, what would I need to look out for? The seller has the usual blurb of regularly serviced etc, MOT till 9/4/18, but what should I lo...
