Re: 180° out...like I'm a 5 year old

Ok so about timing. The way I'm understanding is that right now my rear cylinder is firing and then 90 degrees later my front is firing. So looking at a clock, cylinder 1 is firing at 12 and cylinder 2 at 3. But what need to be happening is cylinder one at 12 and cylinder 2 at 9. Is this a correct ...

Re: Exhaust Recommendation for Firestorm

Popping and banging isn't isn't a good thing. It usually means either an exhaust leak or a overly lean setting on the pilot jets.

The Old Pilot

An old Pilot sat down in Starbucks and ordered a cup of coffee. As he sat sipping his coffee, a young woman sat down next to him. She turned to the pilot and asked, ‘Are you a real pilot?’ He replied, ‘Well, I’ve spent my whole life flying biplanes, Cubs, Aeronca’s, Newports, flew in WWII in a B-29,...

The young monk

A young monk arrives at the monastery. He is assigned to helping the other monks in copying the old canons and laws of the church by hand. He notices, however, that all of the monks are copying from copies, not from the original manuscript. So, the new monk goes to the Old Abbot to question this, po...

Re: Can I use Dynojet needles with standard main jets?

The aim of the post was to look at reason for the poor performance for VTR1000 in their lower rpm's off idle - which mine is suffering from. Well the first thing I would say is have you ever ridden a stock VTR? I ask this because the stock bikes didn't have a low RPM\off idle issue. The issues appe...

Re: Can I use Dynojet needles with standard main jets?

The most interesting part is the inlet boots - I did some digging on different forums and found something interesting on Super Hawk forum about the very subject. -Quote " Superhawks stalling under heavy braking or low idling. The deal is that since the carb throats are pretty big, under certai...

There are a few different DB screens. If you are over 6' tall the Puig DB works well

Re: Steering damper

Maybe you should "un-jack" it a bit. Once you have gone too far a damper will not fix the issue. This issue is what caused the frame ears to be added by Spondon which didn't work. The only way to get the bike stable again was to lower the rear ride height. The max is 5mm anymore and you ar...

Re: Jet recommendations / carb work

Yep I made sure to take the time to seat the boots well, and I am sure the carbs went in all the way. They popped in and I had a lot of my weight pushing down to ensure they where seated correctly. I think I’ll take them all back off, give the surfaces another clean and try again. I am using the or...
