Thanks for that Mac. I do normally send via the PO, but I'll try that courier in the future

The swingarm is still available. Postage could be pretty expensive, but if you can't collect I'm happy to post.

Re: various parts for sale

Hi all, still got lots of bits for sale!

Even got a full engine (bigend failure). Will strip down for odd bits or sell complete.
Just send me a private message is the best way to ensure I get it.

Cheers Kev

various parts for sale

I have a few bits left over from a donor bike I bought. These include a rear swingarm, main wiring harness, front footrests, clutch line, slave and pushrod aswell as other switchs and bits. All are listed on eBay, but I will do business directly.

Re: My firestorm won't start!!!

I have finally sorted my storm and got it back on the road!!! After a couple of hours in a garage, the diagnosis was bigend failure. So the manual cct's weren't to blame!!! The cost of repair was going to be too much so I bought another engine off eBay and I replaced it myself. The problem...

Re: My firestorm won't start!!!

Ok, so after not getting a reply from several messages and phone calls to Mr Hedges. I've been forced into putting the bike into a garage!! Initial ideas from the mechanic are that the timing may have jumped a tooth or two!! Although I am waiting for a definitive diagnosis. As soon as I know what it...

Re: My firestorm won't start!!!

Ok, I can't remember for sure as it's been over a week since I last tried. But I think the squeaking was only there when the engine was running. As for the fuel smell in the oil, my first thought was piston ring failure and maybe that was causing the noise. It seems there is a lot of people way more...

Re: My firestorm won't start!!!

Sorry for taking a while to repost, but my first experience of a firestorm isn't a good one!!! I did eventually manage to start the bike, although I didn't do anything different to all the other times I tried and had no luck. Only to be ear peircingly deafend by a metallic sqeaking. After a bit of i...

Re: My firestorm won't start!!!

The CCT's were fitted by a guy in warrington called Benny (who is on here somewhere) that is apparently sh1t hot on these engines and i have been assured that locktite was applied when they were fitted. Tomorrow i have a mate coming round with a multimeter to go all over the electrics first. Then I'...
