Re: Powdercoated wheels and Panniers racks.

Cheers Podders. I am liking it the more I ride it. I may get a Storm though in April. I now have a full workshop at work with a decent Welder, Lathe and Burning gear, I need to fiddle a bit. I am still hankering at chopping the back off a Storm and making a single seat jobby.

Crap grey wheels to silver, silver pannier rails to black. Much better.

Re: Xl1000

I never ever thought I'd buy a Varadero XL1000. Aka the "Gravelwing" & it's no looker by any stretch. I purchased mine from a friend who'd had a static junction tumble which broke his wife's leg with a pannier & somehow pierced the fuel tank (not with the pannier ) This is a ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

BTT good to see the mandatory wheelie bin is neatly mounted on the luggage rack  thats the small one :D I am actually very impressed with the luggage, apparently the boxes fall off in a smash! is that surprising? I am training my pillion to hold them as she plummets to the ground from 5 feet up.

Hopefully, new coated wheels, and luggage rack and top box plate. Really happy with the results.

Kwak sx1000 are pretty good, apart from 4000 miles service intervals.
