Ok before I go & splash-out on a new battery here are some readings I took this evening. Bike cold having not touched or charged the battery for several days. Reading: 12.56 VDC Bike started & allowed to warm to 76 degrees at tickover 1100 rpm lights off. Reading 14.79 VDC tickover 1100 rpm...

Well then... How about you verify the R/R now then... I mean, it's altogether possible that it will fry another CDI is it's putting out to high voltage... And I'm fairly certain it wasn't free...

Have you started out by checking charging as in R/R and battery? If not, start there...

Lloydie, 4ltrs in under 3k for real??? 8O Yep :-( worn pistons and bores and the vales need seating and new valves seals . 75000 miles and counting :-) I ain't dropping the engine till its hit 100k mikes :-) I'm well past that, twice over... Once on stock parts and once on rebuilt with fun parts......

Well... I can tell you from personal experience that a stock engine, running well, and a fiddled with engine are two very different beasts... When you have 140 plus horsepower on tap, the stock chassie is a bit overwhelmed to say the least... Feels like riding a rocking horse...

Well... The point was that I wanted to avoid having to create a thumbnail... But then again, one thumbnail in a forgotten folder won't be that bad...
