Re: whats the difference?

Most non bike specific oils have a bunch of "energy conserving" additives in them, that the clutch most definetly dislikes... If there are no "energy conserving" sticker/badge, usually it's fine, but read the fineprint...

Re: c spanner

Machine Mart sell a C spanner kit for bikes. Well... The tool to adjust the suspension really isn't a "C spanner", but a much more odd shaped one, with a bend that most such that are "universal" doesn't have... Without it, the angle once you have it in there makes it impossible ...

Re: Airbox modding

Markus, as you are talking 3 hp in the mids, may I assume 2-4 lb-ft of torque then? did the peak torque number go up? cheers Peak did go up slightly, but more than that it spread the peak out, and brought the ends of that curve up a little... Removed a few little lumps that had been annoying me... ...

Re: Replace front footrest hangers?

Yes, you pull the swingarm bolt/axle out... Essentially splitting the bike in two halves, so you need to suspend it either with an Abba stand and a sling around the rear wheel/swing or something similar to hold it in place, otherwise things will move/bind and generally be a PITA... Other than that, ...

Well... Here I was thinking I had an original idea... Damn you mikstr for stealing my thunder... I basically did the same as you... I took my trusty BMC road filter, and the stock filterbase, stuck them together and added a spacer... The same as you did... Then I copied the gutting ...

Re: How to fit stick coils

This is the first time I've seen this mod and personally think it is a bad move. I had these "stick" coils on my Triumph TT600 and they were a major weak point. Over time they can break down and then corrode which means that the coil expands and gets stuck which can be a nightmare to remo...

There's nothing wrong with talking to yourself, I do that all the time. :biggrin The best thing about it is, you ask yourself a question and you always get a decent answer  (:-}) No idea what you're on about. I have arguments with myself cause I'm wrong and I'm right and I don't believe it.. T...
