Finally got back on the road yesterday after some work on the wheels. Had them powder coated, new brake pads and brake hoses on the front. One new brake disk - the old one had a run out of 1mm, should have been < 0.03mm. Hmm, I guess thats why it was juddering when I tried to stop. And a front brake...

Bloody inconsiderate neighbours came banging on my front door at 3am this morning! Luckily I was up practising on my drums.

But its really cold in the garage, where else am I to do this? Not the kitchen, surely?!? That's crazy talk.

Hi Matty, I ordered some new seals. They were expensive but I might have damaged the old ones getting them out. Messing about with the brakes is a bit nerve wrecking!!

Say does anyone know if its possible to do repairs on the plastic panels? This bit came off..

Anyone found any special strong glue or something?

Got all the crud off the pistons, hopefully that should stop them binding. Just need to put it back together properly............

Say, Flatline, it looks like last year there were two groups, a progressive one and a relaxed paced one. So did that work out ok?

So I am planning to get my tatty wheels painted this winter. I guess they need blasting (sand? bead? not sure) and then powder coating.

Can anyone recommend somewhere in the North East that does a good wheel refurbishment? And how much should I expect to pay? Cheers.
