I had the same problem with mine, and I think I remember finding little foam pieces all around the airbox. Maybe give it a good once over to make sure it's all gone.

Planning to pull the frame off this winter and brace the frame with flat plate & aluminum tubing. Define Stage 1... Some people think that means a jet kit, and a slip-on.... In fact there are so many "entry-level" mods that I don't know what Stage 1 means anymore...
