Re: Number plate light not working (LED tail unit)- Any advi

I've had the same thing happen with the clear lense and tinted lense integrated LED light. Like was mentioned, the board actually breaks loose from vibrations and is a real pain in the butt to fix. It's easier to just buy another light. I have found that these chinese LED lights vary in brightness, ...

Re: VTR Cafe Fighter Project

Ant, I know how you feel with painting the engine. Once you start sanding it, you realize how many nooks and crannies this engine has. My fingers didn't have finger prints for several weeks after sanding/prepping it. It took A LOT longer to paint it than I figured, with all the prep work and whatnot...

Re: 11 days since carl logged in

Been there. On the Superhawk Forum, I had to deal with family issues one time and as of late had to again because of dealing with an A-Hole hacker taking ~$3,000 (US) from me. Several reasons he could have gone off line for a bit.

I really hope its neither.

Mikko, I was just trying to be nice and help. Sorry if my reply on the other site came across the wrong way. Looks like you got the help you needed though.

Re: Deciphering the Keihin needle code.

No problem about the pictures. Sorry about the quality of the stock needle. It was all I had and it is slightly bent and tarnished. I picked up a new micrometer tonight. The measurements you asked for the Factory Pro needle: Total: 63.04mm L1: 17.02mm Now, the "D" measurement I cant really...

Re: Deciphering the Keihin needle code.

I can't find my micrometer. I really don't know what happened to it. Looks like I'm buying another one tomorrow. Sorry I couldn't get you those measurements today, but I can when I buy another one tomorrow.

Re: Hello! I have a question about the lower timing sprocket

Agreed, a 2nd hand crank is what's needed. You will also need to factor in the cost of new main bearing and big end shells, and of course a new cam chain, two new head gaskets plus the head rebuild bits. Unless yours is a low mileage (less than 10K) engine, a 2nd hand engine is going to be cheaper....

Re: Red storm dyno - hp on engine

Concerning the FIL mod, we might have a dyno graph from a stock VTR on July 2nd. I haven't got the go ahead to setup some carbs for him yet, so not sure if this will happen for sure or not. But, the plan is for him to drive to my garage, install the FIL mod lid and the set of carbs that will be setu...

Re: Attachment Points on Rear Cowling & Tail Light

Just took my LED one off, it had vibrated the wires off the circuit board again.... When I looked inside, it had also vibrated the lower little circuit board off it's mounts- it's the one that illuminates the number plate- or did, anyway. It's clearly been running round trying to shake itself to bi...

Re: I Bought It With a Knock

Like kenmoore said, many of us have run without the sub gear A.K.A. anti rattle gear. I made a thread about removing it... http://www.superhawkforum.com/forums/technical-discussion-28/removing-sub-gear-k-anti-rattle-gear-32576 I understand the sub gear's function, but after removing it, I cannot hea...

Re: Ohlins set up?

I should be getting my Ohlins shock back from http://www.tracksidesuspension.com soon. I decided to remove the remote preload adjuster and go wIth a TSE designed aluminum collar (can be seen on the website banner every few seconds). I'm going to give popkat's settings a go when it's installed.
