Re: 1998 VTR1000F F-W in yellow For Sale

Nice chap came this afternoon and I now have a Firestorm shaped space in the garage. First time I haven't had a bike in 33 years or so. It was quite emotional 😢 Anyway, so long guys and thanks for the advice over the years. You might like to know I put it on eBay with a reserve of £1,099 which is ex...

Re: New toy!

50! Right, the advert will appear in due course. I need to get it MOTd, wash it, take photos, (it will then stay in the garage until the new owner rides it away) and I need to go through the garage and gather together all the "stuff", like the unopened posh oil, the rear wheel roller thing...

Re: New toy!

No, you misread it. Yellow bikes are worth £3,000 more than any other colour is what it said.

Re: New toy!

That's a good idea.

So I tried one of those webuyanybike places. They offered me £300-500. Er, that's ok thanks but I'll pass.

Re: New toy!

Four years on and with great regret the bike will be up for sale once it's got a new MOT and I've found the time to wash it. It's only got 16,500-odd miles so as you can tell it just sits in the garage mostly. I think the last time it was out was August or so, or maybe longer than that. I need the g...

Another yellow one in Penzance on Tuesday.

Well I'm fairly sure it was a different one. Y reg, parked outside the Seven Stars. According to reviews: "Still catering for a certain type of clientele ie those who like getting p~ss~d at lunchtime on their job seekers allowance. No real ale." "If you like your lager cold and your f...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Not quite today, but fitted one of these http://www.bikeittrade.com/road/bike-accessories/mudflap-with-reflector-w182xh98-248mm-31w001.html and brought some taper roller bearings for them to fit when I had the MOT on Thursday as I've had advisories the last couple of times. They also stripped the fr...
