Re: Best sounding bike..
There used to be a stud in our village who back in approx 1985/86 had a brand new Honda NS400 (2stroke triple)...that thing sounded gorgeous and looked amazing at the time. Not many about either. http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/Gallery/Honda%20NS400R%20%204.jpg Just been on Youtube and they sound j...

Re: Knees don't like the Storm
found these on ebay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-VTR1000 ... 0902396015?
Anyone tried fitting them, I have just been to look at my pegs and there is not much clearance downwards because of the link pipe.

Re: Knees don't like the Storm
The Tuono is exactly what you need. It's only mental if you want it ti be ;) At least give one a go :) Yeah I know, I really like them but it's getting a shot on one for an hour or two before buying is the tricky thing. What's your location? Scotland (Borders). There is a shop near Edinburgh that h...

Re: Knees don't like the Storm
After surgery on my left leg a couple of years back I struggled to bend my knee with the staples - I was able by fitting a Kawasaki footpeg to drop the gear change peg by an inch or so, and continue riding. Not sure it would also work on the right (brake) side as the pipe and brake lever doesn't se...

Re: Knees don't like the Storm
What kit are you wearing for riding? It does make a big difference to your comfort. 8O Most comfortable (on knees & ankles) when i wear codura jacket & trousers. 1 piece leathers always most uncomfortable. Put it down to having leathers inside the boots. not able to try them outside. :thumb...

Knees don't like the Storm
Firstly...I love my Firestorm, it makes me love motorcycling more than ever but unfortunately my knees just can't cope with being bent double for more than an hour and therefore it is with much regret that I am looking to replace the VTR for something more comfortable. Re: bought a ducati...
How do you like the 900ss?
It's a bike I would like to get and have been looking at them for a year or two and would like to know how it compares to the VTR. You can pick them up pretty cheap in the UK, £2-3K gets a really good low mileage one.
Fantastic colour.

Re: Inverness to Belgium
A couple of years ago, the wife and I took the Boxster to Amsterdam from Newcastle (We live in the Scottish Borders 2hrs away). It sails at about 5pm and gets in about 7am and you can get a wee bunk room. We really enjoyed it as you are sailing when you're asleep and you get to wake up in main land ...

Re: My list of bikes
Absolutely mad on bikes since an early age but both parents very much against them. Used to ride my mates Honda Z50 and would have done anything to have a bike but when I was 17 in a rebellious state went and bought a C70. So I was born in 1970 1988 Honda C70 1989 Honda XL125 K2 (got 13points at Uni...
