Short sidestand means that it has been fitted with a rear shock spacer- this is a good thing, helps the bike handle and drop into corners. Blackbird stands are slightly longer and will do the job. Have a look in Workshop thread for a how-to. it has a blackbird stand on as far as i can tell by looki...

no traces of oil in water...but looking at the state of the bike every little thing thats supposed to be nice lubed and clean isnt... so thats why im trying to do as much as possible on it to restore it to its former glory and improve some bits.. any sidestands laying about someone ....as mine is to...

I will do an engine flush to replace all coolant and also a full service
but if the engine flush won't cure the overheating what else could it be? A blocked pipe or just crap un the cooling system?

they all came off without much drama ... but i did open a can of worms...as the downpipes have tiny little cracks that will need welding... as for repacking the cans dont know if i should bother or just replace them (remus grand prix ) one more thing how fast do your engines warm up ? and how hot do...

They have been soaking for past 2 days and yes all exhaust is coming off need to clean and repack end cans

Well after finishing a helmet that I've been painting exhaust is coming off and tank inspection for the leak
Il take some pics tmoz and show the bike before I take to bits

It was the overflow between the carbs but it was my mistake for tilting carbs and fuel went up and after installing tank back on the carb refueled and overflowed
But found another petrol leak...under the tank where the fuel gauge is ...is there a seal located somewhere that I must have disturbed?

overflow

So today after balancing my carbs and putting all stuff back on bike I noticed petrol coming out on one of the overflow hoses took every thing off to check for loose hoses but all is tight and working well
I'm a bit confused to why its done it but I'm sure smbdy will enlighten me

im after a belly pan condition is not important .....i would have it even if its in bits as long as it has all brackets and fixings also still looking for the elusive left side switches and side stand and the great news is that today after taking bike to my mates garage to test discs they are warped...

left switches,tool kit(im watching one on ebay atm),right side radiator bracket the one that bolts on engine,side stand as the one its on is too short
thats so far....not gone all way to overhaull bike

just wished the bike would look a bit better then it actually is
the more i get in it the more faults i find :roll:
and the sad part is cant really find the parts i need :(
