Re: My Dream project...
great job......... but I agree that the front wheel isn't in the middle of the forks, looks like the spacers are mixed up I'll get out the old tape measure and check that out! With the floating front caliper it could accommodate a shift left or right so I'll check it and report back...thanks for ob...

Very nice job  On close inspection, is that disc a bit close to the fork leg? good job  I know what you mean, but both ends are standard and the brake caliper seems to work with the set up so I assume it's OK. I tried to leave a lot of the bike standard...I know a lot of folks tak...

Re: Cafe Racer project

The seller was bombarded with folks wanting his Dream as a field bike, but it's way too nice for that. It has a rebuilt engine, sounds and runs dead sweet and the frame and forks are nice. It's ...

Re: Cafe Racer project
[quote="cheekykev"]If the exhaust is stainless steel, why not just cut it mid section, shorten it, and crank it up slightly, that would have the desired effect and wouldn't cost much. In my opinion a cranked up exhaust on a Cafe Racer always looks good, and also looks like some thought and...

Re: Cafe Racer project
Wow that looks supercool but the only thing that stands out a little odd to me is the exhaust. You need to find some nice supercool exhaust to match it's new look. So what's to follow. What plans do you see for it. Yep, you're right Carl...it came with that Motard system...it's in good condition bu...

I need the gear change rod that goes between the foot lever and the gearbox lever...the one that's about 6 inches (or 150mm) long...with female 6mm inside threads.
Anyone got a spare??

Re: mint old bike kawasaki?
there are often a 750 and a 500 at hartside cafe, both imaculite and probably the most valuble bikes there. :D Yep, I paid big money for my little 250. The clean triples fetch good money...my mate paid £1,600 for a real basket case 250 S1C. Parts (if you can get them) are big money too!! :? Don't ev...

Re: mint old bike kawasaki?
I saw this mint old bike today, not got a clue what it is, had 3 end cans, so would I be right in thinking it's a triple? http://i1143.photobucket.com/albums/n629/bigspanishmarty/photo%203_9.jpg It is indeed a KH triple 2 stroke Kwakker Mr Marty. Followed 4 of them onto the ferry to Larne on Friday...
