Re: Insurance costs for a storm
It's pretty reasonable to insure bikes in the UK...last premium I paid in Canada in 2013 for my Storm was $800... about 400 pounds. That's about standard over there...I wasn't paying more than average price... ![Shocked 8O](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)

Re: What classic bike would you buy?
Quite like those Moto Morini's...getting pricey now though...never seen one in the flesh... My mate had one for ages. Slow as a wet week and hugely unreliable. T'was a pig. That's the funny thing with these 'Classics'...often they're reported as being without fault, but when you ride them they're a...

Re: What classic bike would you buy?
A lad that I worked with ran a RG500 , then an RC30 , then an RD500LC , followed by an early Gixxer 750 which he converted to a LeMans trim, then an Aprilia RS250 . (I think I got the order right!) Used to use them to come to work on, rain or shine...and he was a plant mechanic mending chainsaws and...

What classic bike would you buy?
I keep thinking...if I had 5 grand to spend on a classic bike...what would it be? Or 2 bikes at 2,500 each? They would have to go up in value...but what to buy? LC250? Suzuki T500? Kawasaki Triple? Most of us don't have cash to squander...what would your choice be? ![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

There's a fella on the US Superhawk site who does a really nice gearshift lever kit...his name is Jamie Dougherty. I had one off him for my first storm and it's a lovely piece of kit. I just PM' d him on his link for a price on another for my current Storm...his link is below... http://www.superhawk...

Re: Northumberland
Thats another great route
I also used to like the B1068 from my Grans (Red Row) and go straight up the coast
Pete.l[/quote]
Yep, PeteL....I go past Red Row on my way past Druridge Bay, then up the 'Coastal Route' through Boulmer...via Alnmouth. Just great![Thumbup ](./images/smilies/icon_thumbup.gif)

Northumberland
Lovely run out in Northumberland today...up the A1, off at Rothbury turn off (North Morpeth), up through Longhorsley and Longframlingtom, then right across to Alnwick, back down 'The Coastal Route'. Around 2 hours from the Tyne Tunnel. Stunning countryside, fast open roads and a bit of dual carriage...
