Cheers for the help guys...... The problem is, that the plug was well rounded and rusted before I got my grubby little spanners on it. After attacking it with various vice grips, it's not so much round, as well chewed. I kinda thought that the heat gun woulda sorted things, cos the aluminium sump sh...

I've tried, sockets, heat and sockets, vice grips, bigger vice grips, hot air gun and vice grips. I've tried swearing at it, hitting it, lookin...

I listened to a pub mate being killed a few years ago: me and a buddy were playing golf and heard this lad take off out of the villiage. Flat out up t...

Seat Cover Thing
Hey folks, Can anyone tell me about the pillion seat cover? I'm thinking that there should be a couple of lugs at the rear to hold the cover against the seat, right? wrong? Mine doesn't have them anyway and since I've owned the bike, it appears that the cover has worn the paint and TBH some of the p...

Soft forks, nae ground clearance and dodgy brakes
What a title!?!?!?! Took a mate for a lunch time sandwhich run. Turns out I was the sandwhich, between him and the tank. <squeak> To give you the whole story, my mates' about 18 stone = nae ground clearance. Not going fast or anything but I was scrapping my toes round a roundabout. Soft forks..........

Thanks for the quick replies guys, I had a feeling you would advise me to buy cos I know none of you are in the least bit biased eh? Another thing I forgot to mention was, that the bike has new chain and sprockets, the rear being 2 teeth more than standard. That would explain how the bike see...

Hi guys, Excellent site you have here. I'm hoping I can ask you all the usual dumb questions and get away with, as there seems to be a wealth of info/experience here that I may well need to tap into. I'm just about to hand over cash for a '98 Firestorm in the next couple of days. Fantastic bi...
