Re: just brought a firestorm any one here got info

Welcome along chap, ignore all the red haters, they're all just jelous that their bikes are 50bhp and 100 mph down on the red ones. It's a well proven fact that a red storm can drop a pair of knickers from half a mile away too, although the luggage rack might reduce this to a quarter mile :biggrin

Not so fond of an inline 4 with an open can, followed a harley through the limehouse link in central london today and that was bloody loud, not my thing, neither was the Victory spac...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Took my Ohlins shock (at long last ) to be serviced at FTR Suspension to find out it was originally from an '87 GSX-R 750! The next surprise will be the bill :eek2 So is your ohlins the right dimensions for a storm mate? I had an ohlins serviced and re-sprung, I think the spring was £80 and the ser...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Gave her a quick spray with mr sheen, lubed the chain with the assistance of the wife, placed a nice little moriwaki sticker on the hugger and wrote up a list of bits I need to get for a service although I did find a k&n oil filter that I'd stashed up, result! Oh and won the WP shock that was on...

I've heard a product called acf50 is supposed to be very good and preventing corrosion and also treats whatever is already present. I've just ordered a can for mine for a good going over.

Re: knock knock, can I come in please...

welcome in .  how do you find time to ride all those bikes ? :D Cheers, simple answer is I don't! They're the bikes that I oggled at as a young man on the pages of PB and trips to the alexandra palace road racing show, I had grand designs of having an early R1 and a zx7r in there...
