Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
OK, so yesterday eve I got back to the bike and immediately realised that the rear 2 cam cover bolts on the front cylinder were loose. Tightened them up and started reassembling, all going spiffingly well until I'd finished the air box and realised I'd forgotten to fit the plastic bit under the fron...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Bloody rubber gaskets, sorry about that mate :( The rear is really simple to check Mike and now you know how simple it is to remove the tank. There's 4x 10mm bolts on the cam cover, make sure you put the little spacer/seal things under the bolts the right way around, they are marked top. Go easy wh...

Yes, what is it with that new exhaust shape/style? Aesthetically, I don't like it either. Does it accommodate a cat or something?AMCQ46 wrote:that exhaust needs sorting

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
had a very busy day with carl and mike, dodging the showers whilst working on mikes bike. I think he's a very happy man.... new mcct's, changed petcock, as his had a big tear in it, found out his tank breather pipe was routed all wrong and was being pinched, so we re-routed it to the corr...

Re: Fuel leak from below carbs, Help !
Met up with Agent P and Carl again today. AP Swapped the petcock over for me and sure enough, when he took the old one apart, there was a pretty serious split in the diaphragm. Problem solved! :D :D   And lots more besides which I will go into on another thread. The nicest know-it-...

Re: Anyone know anything about wood burners?
If you're in a smokeless zone then you're only allowed to burn smokeless fuel. There's Defra approved burners that I think allow some flexibility on fuel in these zones but I find the rules very confusing! Apparently their increased popularity in London has, along with new bio-mass burners, negated ...

Carl, you are little short of awesome!  Think I've found it on Wemoto: http://www.wemoto.com/components/FuelParts/FuelTapRepairKits/picture/hl-743542/. I'll follow your instructions and see if the diaphragm has split. I thought I'd downloaded the manual, but prompted to check foun...

Re: Fuel leak from below carbs, Help !
Many thanks Tony & Carl! I haven't yet had a chance to investigate further, partly because I keep the bike garaged a couple of miles from where I live and don't use it to commute, but I'll have a look tomorrow on wed eve. I'm sure the diaphram or tap theory will be proved correct! The plastic dr...
