Re: Not the best starter
Just checked the battery and its a mtbx12 although not a motobatt
But i tried one of the techniques that had been suggested and one of them works !!
Tiny bit of choke and when it fires give it more choke and bingo it starts !!!
I'll keep trying it though!!!

Re: Not the best starter
Whats the thinking on which Motobatt?
There are two listed for the storm - mtbx9 and mtbx12
The 12 is slightly taller but has more cranking power
Thoughts ?

Not the best starter
My second storm, the one with the race cans doent like starting. Its best chance is with no choke at all and even then it just offers then stops - if i pull choke on it seems a bit lazy on start. After multiple goes on the starter without choke it eventually fires and runs. Sometimes with this proce...

Re: Popped my v twin cherry !!!!
I did all this on bith my storms!!!
Be preapered to be shocked with the linkage!!!!
The needles in both my bikes were turned to dust.
And one end of the dog bone had cracked - disaster waiting to happen
If you need a hand give me a shout
