I realy like Danny but at the point when it happened i wanted to kill the little git and have nearly lost my voice with all the screaming and shouting (very passionate about my motorsports), poor old dog hid upstairs allday.

Like i said m8 sounds to me like your pilot jet is blocked , the pilot jet works with the airscrew and the slide cutaway up until around 1/2 throttle and the main jet takes over from there so when this jets blocked it gives the simptoms that you describe. Bluesman can you tell me if the cbr1000 clipons actualy raise more than normal or just look better as im looking at some to fit on mine ??

Mines a poor fit as well but if you look there a gap in the plastic for using throwover panniers and thats why the seat isnt a closer fit.
