Re: UK/US VTR Project

I like loud cans. As far as i'm concerned, they're a safety feature to deal with 'hard of seeing' car drivers. The louder they are, the safer I am. :D

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

.....hoping to carbon wrap my tank this weekend! That's great news. It will finish the bike off, trust me. All you gotta do now is get rid of those silly looking cans (*coughs and looks at floor), and yer ready for the show!!   You should get that cough looked at, sounds n...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

I haven't mastered the 'oil change without mess' operation yet. I always always get some on the floor...walls, bike, car, wife, dog and my own face. :help:

By the way, hoping to carbon wrap my tank this weekend! :biggrin

Re: Yet another new Derby Stormer.

WOW that's different. Not exactly my cup-of-tea although I do like Streetfighters/customised bikes. I think you've done a good job in making the side mounted radiators work, plus I can see you've put a lot of time and effort into the build  Thanks for posting the photo's. Good luck at the ...

Re: Yet another new Derby Stormer.

GingerBeardMan, the cans are staying exactly where they are, plus they'd look ridiculous in a box and they'd probably catch fire! Cherrybombs are where it's at, surely? As for the indicators, I get where you're coming from. It was my first idea and may be subject to change. I think i'd got...

Re: Yet another new Derby Stormer.

Hey Gingerbeardman. Thanks for your comments. The tank had divided opinion. I've carbon wrapped the parts that you mention and had intended to do the tank, but a couple of people said they'd leave it, so I was undecided. The socks [decided not to go with sandles in the end] are a temporary measure d...

Indeed. Most comments have so far been on the positive side when people have seen it in the flesh, but as I said each to their own.

Yet another new Derby Stormer.

Hi All. Just joined the forum, after finding much good advice over the last few months, sorry it's taken so long to make it official. Got a black T reg storm, which i've streetfightered over winter and has been accepted into the bike show at Rock and Bike Fest at Carnfield hall in Alfreton in a few ...

Re: New owner from Derby

Attaching ducks to the side of your bike really doesn't help. There's the aerodynamic considerations, not to mention all the blood and quacking. :D
