But you can check easily enough- just unplug the RR and see if it still does it.

Re: Main fuse blowing

I'm thinking that it wasn't the battery at fault in the first place.

There must be a short for the fuse to blow in such a way ( twice)
Just can't work out why this has happened when bike not in use?

Re: Main fuse blowing

Sounds daft but you havent connected the battery the wrong way round. + & - wrong way. That would blow the fuse. Pretty sure the battery is on the right way round, but now I'm paranoid! Wont be the Mosfet if you havent fitted it... Lol I meant the old regulator, not the replacement one from you...

Found this thread in the meantime!

I have a new Mofset regulator from Mac ready to fit (one of the jobs on my list)

Could this have failed whilst not in use? seems unlikely with bike not running, but what do I know?

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Looks like flat bar conversion on sat then see how we go

When you did cut the fairing, how did you ensure the cut was straight?

Was thinking masking tape and cut Along edge with dremmel

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Fantastic, cheers

I might get away with a bit more with flat bars, but I will report back.

I took the flat bars off the bandit when I had it as I found them too low!

Re: what have you done to your

Now get some renthal ultra low bars and get fitting I have some Renthal flat bars that I am thinking might do the job and mean less fairing cutting (or perhaps might even get away with none?) A question for those of you using low bars, did you need longer brake lines, or did you just adjust the run...
