Re: Oil Leak from Manual CCT (Rear)
Hmm... I think you're right. It's pretty much away for the winter now, and I intend to give it a full service before next summer. I'll do it all at the same time, makes sense. It'll also give me several months to go over the walkthrough again and again. With still a few rides left in this season, I'...

Re: Oil Leak from Manual CCT (Rear)
Thanks for the tips. It does seem to collect around speedo sensor ring, but I'm pretty sure it's coming from the CCT... Could be both. Could I loosen that off too and use some high temp sealant on that too? I'll try the CCT first and see if that stops it. Think it's dripping down that black cable (l...

Oil Leak from Manual CCT (Rear)
Hi guys, I've noticed a small amount of oil around where the rear Manual CCT is... It's not a lot, but when I rub my finger up the thread of the CCT I get a finger covered in oil. Question is, what would be the best way to stem the leak? Short of stripping it all down again. I didn't fit them myself...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
A very productive weekend. Fitted a set of aftermarket exhausts, replaced all the aluminium bolts that had been replaced by a previous owner and replaced the reg/rec!

Yes, of course. I haven't had any problems yet but haven't taken a look at the connector... Could be melted!

Re: Regulator / Rectifier Modification
Hi guys, Just thought I'd run this by you all. I've purchased this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390608655150?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Do you think it'll be easy enough to slide the old spade connections out of the old connector block and into this without having t...

Re: Handle bar ends
Right. That makes sense. I know the step you mean too... What I wasn't doing is holding the weight... I'll pull them out again at the weekend and adjust if necessary.
Thanks again guys!

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
They touched the tank on full turn, and the brake fluid tank touched the screen slightly. Whoever fitted them, replaced all the casing bolts with pink aluminium bolts... I was advised to get these put back to stainless steel asap. He had a bit of a nightmare taking off the sprocket cover... All orde...
