Re: Funny front end
is it along the same lines as the elf hondas that used to be raced? Going purely by my own interpretation on what seems to be happening in the photos I'd say yes and no! Yes it has hub centre steering. Yes a very rigid support to braking forces. No in that it seems to me that the rake is fixed like...

Re: Funny front end
From the second picture you can see it is hub centre steering. The mechanism for steering it is very very neat.
Note the scissor action rear shock too. I think Yamaha used this idea on a GP bike. Who influenced who though?
What a rarity!

Re: BHP Figure
the induction noise was very addictive. it needed decent forks and shock to be honest. my mate bought a 2003 R1 it was quicker that that. I read somewhere that Kawasaki were into helmholtz chambers. For no other reason than to sound good. I dunno if my 07 zx6 had em, but it sure sounded good. The a...

Re: Streetfighter conversion
 I've seen quite a cool looking one on tinternet with an under seat rad. Looks to have ducts under the tank. The tank looks non standard too. I think to get it to look right with the rads in stock position is a challenge. But who dares wins, right? There's a pretty radical looking one on bi...

If won the lottery I'd be on the phone to place my order the day after.
I'd also ring this guy (
) and see if he'd build me one. I really, really want one.

Re: A 90 degree vee single !!
What I mean is, the proper cylinder is four stroke. Fed by a two stroke compressor. Looked at that way the problem isn't lack of air, but too much of it. Solution is to store it in a vessel at steady (ish) pressure. Looked at from the point of view of a single cylinder bike it's cute. Perfect balanc...

Re: A 90 degree vee single !!
He will have had to do a lot of faffing about to get the rear cylinder to purge the front cylinder at the right time. Releasing the air at the right time and getting the front head ready to receive. taking unto mind that you have 200 - 300 mm in the middle getting iy up front at the right time to g...

Re: Any bright ideas?
My bro had his rgv250 calipers recon' by an outfit he'd talked to at the classic bike show and they did a first class job. Better than new. They do a service exchange service too and maybe if you were open with them they might have a solution? Worth a shot to ask. If you're going to try to get the t...
