I wouldn't be to worried yet about using the fully synth oil just yet, I think the newer stuff doesn't have same problems about slipping clutches etc. I am using it in my Kwak 636 and it is fine even though manual recommends semy synth but since I know a guy who work for Castrol I get oil at a good ...

LOL - yep did do that alright, having doubts now wether it is correct to check oil when cold or hot though, have always checked when a bit warm and have never had any problems so probably doesn't make a big difference

thanks for the link man, doesn't really give an answer to if I should expect the bike to use a bit of oil. Maybe I should add that I had the bike warmed up and then let it sit for about 5-10 minutes before checking the oil, that is how I have been doing it on all my bike , this is my first twin so n...

Those things are so cool, you can get 75 and 80 cc tuning kits which will see the thing go 80 mph ( not safe to do but possible )
I am sooo watching and maybe put in a bid if it can be had for a reasonable price

knocking

I get the odd knock from the cylinder pointing at our balls - think it just need balancing and carbie clean, maybe along with new plugs - after all it is a 98 ( 8 years old ) so if it has happened more tha once and the engine hasn't crapped it self the problem is more than likely in your head and co...
