this thread answered a question I had a while back, mine is a 98 and I had to a full litre of oil to get the level up to correct after about 3 months of owning it and about 1500-2000 km and yes like someone else I accelerate like shot out of a canon everywhere

LOL - yep did do that alright, having doubts now wether it is correct to check oil when cold or hot though, have always checked when a bit warm and have never had any problems so probably doesn't make a big difference

thanks for the link man, doesn't really give an answer to if I should expect the bike to use a bit of oil. Those things are so cool, you can get 75 and 80 cc tuning kits which will see the thing go 80 mph ( not safe to do but possible )
