Brake fluid replacement

Just about to do the above for the first time and I wondered if it would be possible to gradually add new fluid to the reservoir whilst pumping the old fluid out the bleed nipple and avoid having to do any bleeding after? Difference in colour should show when all the old stuff is out the system. Any...

Motorway avoidance

Is it just me or do other folk look on motorway riding as a bit masochistic? I just did St Davids (the welsh one not the scottish one) to St Albans via Fishguard, Cardigan, Llandovery, Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff, Chepstow, Gloucester, Oxford & it was great. Admittedly I was under no time pressure a...

Front fork dive

Apologies if this has been covered before on numerous occasions but a) I need to get my posts up & b) I'm too lazy to trawl through all the search stuff!! As seems to be normal with Storms the front seems to dive a lot under heavy braking and a cable tie around the fork leg shows just how much! ...

Re: Fused ankles anyone

Not had personal experience Gaz but a mate has had a lot of ankle problems after t-boning a car pulling into a petrol station in front of him. He had a Varado (Varadero?) for a while which had a whole-foot rocker type gear change but is considering changing back to a sports bike with the gearchange ...

Re: HONDA PARTS - TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE??!!

Nice one guys - be interesting to hear how anybody gets on who orders parts from them. Fed up with being ripped off for stuff here - don't get me wrong I don't mind paying a fair price but when the price is out of all proportion to the part in question then it just pisses me right off!! Where did y...

HONDA PARTS - TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE??!!

Having just forked out near on £134 for new LH switchgear I thought I would try and flog the repaired old one which is now good as new (grrrrrr - which I'd found the repair bloke in a shed earlier) Would have returned the new part but had to fettle the bloody thing slightly with a file to get the cl...

Re: Panniers

I bought some simple Oxford panniers last year and have only used them once going to the bike show at NEC is TORRENTIAL rain and HIGH winds. They performed really well, the over-proofs kept all water out and they held a decent amount of stuff. Build quality is very good and there's 3 large velcro s...

Panniers

Not sure Workshop is exactly the place for this but never mind! Thinking about doing some touring on the Storm and bungeeing a holdall on the back like I'm doing at the mo is getting a bit of a PITA! Anyone got experience of hard or soft panniers for their Storm or even got any lurking in their shed...

Re: Saving posts/threads

Correction - there is no Bookmark tab in the User Control Panel - use the Manage Bookmarks heading on the left.

That's another post nearer me 50!

Re: Saving posts/threads

Thanks for the suggestions all but have just noticed a wee option at the bottom of the page which says "Bookmark topic"! D'oh!!!

After bookmarking just go to your user control panel & click on the Bookmarks tab. Simples!

Saving posts/threads

This may be a bloody stupid question but is there any way of tagging a post as a favourite or saving it in some way. Came across Darkember's strip down photos & thought it would be good to file this away for future reference.
