Cool n Comfy flat bar conversion.

I am currently contemplating a bar conversion for my storm. I have raisers fitted at the moment, but after a trip with a mate last year who has a street fighter, I was very jealous of his comfortable riding position. Looking around I really like the look of the CNC kit and wonder if anyone had exper...

Strange noise from right hand side solved.

Just thought this might help someone else. For some time now I have had a strange wump type noise during in gear acceleration. Had a good look over the weekend and finally solved it. Turns out that when I've checked the rear wheel alignment it was out by 1 to 1 1/2 turns of the adjuster on one side....

R1 mirrors

I need to replace a mirror on my 97 Storm. I currently use mirror extenders which I'm very happy with. However while looking for a good standard mirror I've come across a set off a 2010 R1 which look a little better. Has anyone tried them and do they push the mirrors out far enough for a decent rear...

Re: Fairing replacement or repair

Thanks for all the suggestions and offers. I have found a local body shop who have quoted 140 max for both sides weld and paint. Looking on their website they do a lot of classic bike work and get great reviews. I am paying them a visit later in the week so I will let you know how I get on. Meanwhil...

Re: Fairing replacement or repair

OK so a slight change in direction I'm now thinking of going down the replica route and going for a repsol scheme. This is after looking at MFS fairings. Does anyone have any experience with this firm.

Re: Fairing replacement or repair

Thanks for the help so far. It's pretty much as I thought. I'm leaning at the moment to a repair so need to decide how to fix the plastics which have cracked off on each side. I'm thinking of using a two pack resin reinforced with fiberglass. I'm really interested in anyone offering a respray then t...

Fairing replacement or repair

I have a 97 storm with a damaged fairing on both sides. The bike is yellow and I'm looking for some advice, either aftermarket, second hand original (lefthand is as rare as hens teeth), or repair and respray in which case does anyone know of a good colour match technique. Still very fed up so all he...
