Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
That looks nice mate. Are the gears missing or is it just the shifter? Should that model have the T shift or the knob? Thanks...No, not missing, whilst assembling it I noticed a problem with the wee orange gear indicator square you probably remember, just one of the little jobs I have to ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
me and my brother both had choppers, we used to play a game called cut ups, where you had to ride across the front of each other knocking the front wheel out of line and hence knnocking the other person off their bike, it was great fun, also 2nd gear would slip and you could bash your knee's and an...

Re: Twins
Would also love to see some pics of your SL Marko, a fine looking bike, IIRC they was a resto on the SL in Classic Mechanics Magazine a year or two back, have you got it?
If not, I may be able to dig it out for you.

Re: Twins
Theres a small article on "20 year old bikes of 2017" in this month in PS magazine, both the TL and Firestorm get a mention, the VTR is labelled as a V Twin VFR which is exactly what I want, the TL is and always will attract more sporting interest (and appreciate even..) over the VTR but n...

I too was told the front was the only the front one that needed changing...My bike currently has the OE adjusters fitted.alanfjones1411 wrote:Hello and welcome to the forum .If i was you i would do the other cylinder as well.Rear cylinder is a rarer failure than the front, but it still happens.

Re: My other bikes
Really nice collection Podman! I have a feeling the next addition to my fleet ought to be an 80's stroker. I have fond memories of riding a mate's 350LC, and enjoyed a brief ride on an NS400 once upon a time. Now thats one bike I would like to own again, I had 2 x NS400s back in the 80s, my friend ...
