Re: Powdercoating wheels
Hi, a tip for all exposed polished metal parts that old cleaner lady's have been using for yonk's on Brass door knockers ect. 1st polish them rub a candle on it and the rub in. Stops the air getting at the surface, so stays good for much longer. I do it on all my polished Ally parts on all my bikes.

Re: Loving the bike... but what just happened?!
I know this might sound mad, but you say you had it towed away. Presumably strapped down to a trailer or truck. As it was fine before that, and looking at the picture on the bike, the forks look twisted (admittedly hard to tell from photos) which could of happened at that time. Even a small twist wi...

A small spacer fitted to the lockstops is a good idea as you say a bit tight with buttons the tank. I was going to do the same on mine but never did. What did t you do to them?

Re: Just lost clocks and lights
Check the earth wire. The VFR VTEC's had a problem were the fairing wires to the main loom are connected and had a recall in the USA. They over heat, loosing all that you have pointed out. Not saying the that the VTR is the same. If it is, worth putting in and extra earth wire straight to the frame,...

Re: New VTR purchase, bike stopping after 1 minute riding.
I'm with the "vac tube is on the wrong spigot" in the vacuum tap. Made the same silly mistake my self some time back and put the vacuum pipe on the vacuum tap drain. If left a wile it would run fine then conked out as it ran out of fuel, only to restart again a few minutes later.

Re: If not a Firestorm, then ??
Well I have a VFR800 VTEC and it is the smoothest bike I have ever ridden and so stable at speed. Fuiling is perfect. I have deleted the PAIR's system along with a K&N filter, but seemed fine before being done. Standard exhaust ( just for a couple of more days) then it will have my own handmade ...
