Honda Hawk 1100

Just found this, what a bike. All in Japanizes, but a good look over the bike. Sounds just like the VTR. Eyes shut and you'd think in was one.

Re: Running trouble

Side stand switch?. Had the same on mine, and it was the connection from the switch under the seat. Disconnected mine and solders the wire on the loom together. No problem since. Just need to make sure that you don't ride off with the stand down.

E5 E10- Fuil

There has been quit a lot of info regarding the introduction of E10 Petrol coming in soon. Just thought I would add my input which was posted on a VFR forum. As most know E10 it not good for older bikes, and in particular, older carb engines. Esso have released "Synergy Supreme+ 99" which ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Stripped down the high low beam switch, as it was sticking on high beam. The old grease in side had gone hard as candle wax. Taking it fully apart is not recommended as I found out  Warksd fine now though.

A mofset is as above but mounted slightly to one side.
Point taken, now corrected

Re: Dreaded reg/rec

The last MOSFET I brought came from a almost new BMW. Even with the, you need to be careful as the BMW had problems with them and were updated, so important to check the code on them.

Re: Dreaded reg/rec

Had to change my R/R to a MOSFET and all fine now. The main problem is having the Voltage displayed all the tine to spot a problem before more damage is done. I come up with a bracket to fit the VFR800 with the HISS unit, and jus found out that it will also fit the VTR with the HISS unit (sadly will...

Added 3 30mm spacers under the instrument pod. What with having the VFR bars, just seemed to be to far away. They are brass, so etch primed them, then satin black. Fitted with washers between the spaces and the pod. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M6-x-30-mm-8-mm-Male-to-Female-Hex-Brass-Spacer-Standoff-...
