Re: Windscreen double bubble

I'm the same height as you. My DB screen drove me insane with head turbulence unless I was in anything other than flat on the tank.
I refitted the standard screen and it now pitches the wind into my chest, which is far more comfortable, and no more head wobbles!

Re: Helmet

I wore my trusty old full face Shoei for years, but the pain is in having to take glasses off to get the lid on/off. I switched to Caberg flip fronts in the end, and have stuck with them since. The only downside is that they are noisier than a full face, but a game changer for convenience when weari...

Re: Gear shift lever wanted

Thanks Kev,
Yeah it's just the toe piece. Had a wobble on the weekend and manged to get my boot between the footrest and gear lever, dragged on the road and snapped the gear lever. Not sure how I didn't break my bloody ankle! +1 for my Sidi's!

Gear shift lever wanted

Hello good folk,
I've snapped my gear lever, struggling to find a replacement.
Does anyone have a spare available please, or know if it's a common part with any other models?

Re: De-pin electrical plugs?

A good sturdy safety pin will do it, push it down the side of the terminal to depress the locking tab, then withdraw it from the rear of the plug.
Failing that, there's an abundance of "terminal removal" or "terminal ejector" tools on Amazon or eBay for not a lot of money.

'Special' up for grabs on Facebook Marketplace

God loves a trier... He wants £1800 for this "loud but legal" (in his opinion obviously) monstrosity.

Re: Form an orderly queue!!!!

I was in Thunder Road in Bridgend yesterday and they have a '99 Blackbird with 14k miles, one owner, and its up for £6,500 so maybe not so bad for a 444 mile' storm? dream on.

Re: Exhaust Baffles

I had a pair of ART cans on mine, but they were a bit bonkers. I've put the standard cans back on and drill x5 10mm holes in each baffle. It's nice now, bit of a bark, no fuelling issues. And it doesn't make my lid reverberate.

Re: I've broken it again....

There is a leak on the exhaust where the rear header enters the 'manifold', looks like the clamp has let go. Didn't think that would cause so many issues though....

Yeah, it's on standard CCT's, but no rattles? They were new around 2500 miles ago.

I've broken it again....

Did about 40 miles tonight without much issue, although it did seem to sound like it had developed a blow on the exhaust (difficult to tell, ART cans and ear plugs...) then, pulled up to a set of lights and it cut out. Not normal, so thumbed the starter and she fired up and died straight away. Tried...
