Re: Track day project.
keep the pics coming... Here's an interesting one for the perfectionists on the forum. I'm not in search of perfection however much I love to see it in other peoples preparation, I'm still sometimes shocked by the baling twine & wire coat hanger repairs. As I've mentioned on here I fi...

Re: Hypertension Anyone?
Mine was 158 over 99 and the doc put me on perindopril, that was a few years ago. I check mine regularly & it's normally around 142 over 89 and the doctor seems happy, I'm not happy to be on regular medication but unfortunately loosing weight isn't as easy as popping a pill!!!!

Re: Track day project.
I'm keeping it as standard as possible for this year but possibly looking at some tuning and more extreme modifications for the winter and that Dook fairing on a Firestorm might keep a few people guessing!!lloydie wrote:Do it [emoji106][emoji16]

Differing frame colours.
I picked up most of the spares bike I bought a couple of months ago and I was wondering has anyone on here had their frames powder coated? I'm thinking of satin black for the frame & swinging arm, the arm will be going into the bike as soon as all the cutting has been done & it's been welded...

Re: Track day project.
I've been getting the bits together to get the project under way including a 99 Fireblade swinging arm c/w calliper & carrier. I didn't fancy the idea of shortening the brace so decided to go with the blade calliper, the only problem is the guide inside the arm needs to be changed too. I've pick...
Re: SP2
During his year in WSB he was often described as Colin Edwards Castrol Honda team mate & this couldn't have been further from the truth. Colin was riding a full factory no cost spared 'full fat' Superbike, where Marks SP2 was a road bike that was shipped to Italy with lights & mudguards and ...
SP2
A fellow Scouser friend of mine Mark Heckles was quite famous a few years ago when he campaigned a Honda SP2 in WSB. The reason for my telling this is that he's just built himself a replica of his 2002 bike to race in a suitable class in the US. The following year he rode an ex Colin Edwards WSB SP2...

Re: insurance!!!
I haven't insured a road bike since the 1990's so nothing in the way of no claims to transfer and I've just been quoted £148 fully comp for a 1998 VTR1000 & a 1990 FZR1000 Exup with 6,000 miles across both bikes.
With the price of car insurance these days I was delighted with that.
