I'll pull the decals and get more cut Monday. You're both correct, it'd look better anyway.

A decal negative from the sign shop, a battery charger, some masking tape, 0000 steel wool, table salt and water.

Saltwater etching anyone?
Has anyone thought of etching parts on their bike? I looked online and didn't see anything. I've done knives and such in the past. Decided to try it on the bike and it turned out OK I think. Re: HELP PLEASE!
Thanks, I pulled mine and had rust on the back of the reg and the tail section where the earth point was. After cleaning didn't get any change. Pull the three pin behind the tank, two pins showed no voltage and one showed full 12.5 with ignition off.

my 98 reg/rect diode tests bad, I'm seeing two different types online. One is epoxy filled like the reg on my bike, the other is a cast heat sink unit. Which should I get?

Vinyl and handguards
Decided to hit the sign shop and pick up some vinyl to stripe the hawk this morning. Got finished with that and decided to fit $30 Amazon generic Acerbis mx pro guards as well for the cold but having problems with the inboard mount since I don't have a single bar mod done yet. Anyone tried this, and...
