Re: Op Storm IV Yorkshire 18-20 may 2018
Last time I was round there was for a weekend in a Caterham I hired from Lancaster with my brother and the roads were amazing. Sure you've all been before but if not you're in for a treat.

Re: Newbie hello - maybe my new (old) bike has been here before?
I'm a bit late to the party, but welcome! :) There's a couple of us around Ayrshire with Storms (myself/geordie) but I don't think either of us are doing many miles just now.... Whereabouts in Ayrshire are you? I'm in Prestwick. My hometown! :) There's another couple of Storms in Prestwick, both of...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I think tony summed it up perfectly. Reliable bike with lots of character, but it was built to a cost over 20yrs ago, so there are lots of things you can do to improve it or personalise it. But also very easy to spend more on it than its worth to sell, although if you are keeping it a few yrs it's ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
They don't need attention as a rule, but lots of us can't leave well enough alone..... That's good to hear. And I suppose that's the joy of an older bike isn't it, that you can actually do stuff to them. I was very guilty with my last two bikes (VFR1200s) of just riding them and giving them the occ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
So I've finally got mine on the road (yesterday, briefly) and it feels OK. Today I sat my little kids on it and they seemed underwhelmed. Hard to impress little kids these days. It got me to thinking: This forum and the FB page do seem to be full of people doing things to their bikes all the time. H...

Re: Newbie hello - maybe my new (old) bike has been here before?
Matt and Chippy, either of you had a look in the sunday runs section for the SW Scotland trip in Aug? we will be based on the edge of Loch ken this year, but we will still be doing the Dalry / Ayr / Girvin / Newton Stewart / New Gallowy loop on one of the days, so would be great to see a few more l...

Re: What's annoyed you today??
Happy for you to take the positive from that Alex. Just wish I'd seen yours in November when I was buying. Sure mine will get sorted, and it's only money (although my better half doesn't seem to see it that way). Once the thing is up and running I'll be less pissed off about it. The Facebook thing i...

Re: What's annoyed you today??
Seeing Alex's nice sorted bike on here for less than I've ended up paying for a bit of a dog (as it turns out).

People who botch up jobs that are supposed to be done properly. Still don't have my bike due to this, having signed up on here three or four weeks ago. Very annoying.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
They touched the tank on full turn, and the brake fluid tank touched the screen slightly. Whoever fitted them, replaced all the casing bolts with pink aluminium bolts... I was advised to get these put back to stainless steel asap. He had a bit of a nightmare taking off the sprocket cover... All ord...
