Re: Tank, tubes, tensioners and carb rubbers for sale.

Thought I would give you all first shout before Fleabay. As the title suggests I have for sale: A red tank from a 1998. Includes the fuel sender. A few grazes and scratches but no dents. A little paint bubbling at the rear. The tank has had the fuel tap area re-brazed as it spung a leak there. £50 ...

Agreed. I thought someone might want to stopper them or convert them to manual operation.

My wife works in Barnwood at the Lloyds office opposite the large Sainsburys store.
They have a large car park out side the building. She could meet you there at lunchtime.

VTR modded forks (SOLD)

Hello all, a while ago I bought some taper modded forks from Rob H (Fabiostar) but I haven't and won't be fitting them as I am quite happy with my current forks. Therefore they are for sale at the price I bought them from Rob. Robs description "modded aka the roger tapered damping rod..about 20...

Petrol Cap Seal Leaking

My petrol cap seal has expanded making it hard to push down the petrol cap when closing and it leaks when the tank is full. I have had a look at the parts catalogue and it appears that Honda don't supply this part separately. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the solution?

Re: Liking it more and more but...

Quick update if anyone is interested. I have drilled the silencers for a partial bafflectomy. It sounds better and seems to run just as well as when standard. The first couple of runs I noted a small improvement in MPG. 88 ish. I have run it like this for a few hundred miles. Checked the MPG over th...

Stratman wrote: Tue Jun 12, 2018 9:33 am I average 42 mpg from the Storm. Carbs are standard and with Scorpion cans. Each to their own, but in standard trim I find the Storm plenty fast enough up to three figures, especially with slightly reduced gearing.
Is that with a standard air filter?

I didn't realise Teal was the blue colour. I like it, but then I also wear teal jeans.

I would be happy with 38. I was getting around 60mpg on a TDM900 doing similar speeds although that is a particularly frugal bike.

Re: Liking it more and more but...

Hello all, I will check the carb balance again. The filter is clean and the sparkies are new. I need to check it again on this run because I realised that I was balancing the carbs ect with the last fuel load, but the previous couple of fills have been similar (which is why I balanced the carbs). I ...

Liking it more and more but...

Hello all, I have been riding the Firestorm quite frequently because of the great weather. I have just fitted a new BT016 and it has given the front end a nicer roll in than the Bt020 (which was ancient). I am still exploring its limits although the brakes could be better. I bought some forks of Fab...
