Hi Busterlab. I only live in walkden. I use my bike for commuting all the time and i work near the airport the vtr is great in traffic, no clunking up and down the gears. my bike has covered 30k with no problems with cct's.
It just need regular oil change's.

Must be somthing in the air today, i picked mine up today, service, carb balance and fuel system clean and problem seems to have gone (touch wood).

Hi Colin,
Bolton is a great place and yes ESB is still going strong and it is still family run.
They still have their little shop in leigh open as well.

Ermmm, not sure, I only got the bike earlier this year and i dont have the service history. the dealer seemed to think 24k was the big one, the bike has covered 30k ,so i guess it wont do it any harm.

Took mine to ESB Bolton this morning, Danny the Honda chap (he has owned VTR's himself), seems to think he can sort it. its gonna cost me a bloody fortune, full 24k services inc shims, cct's, carb balance, and to get rid of that fully synth oil. (i may have to sell one of the kids). I will post any ...

Hi Mate' Mine does exactly the same, ok round town and when i try to maintain a steady speed over 70mph it feels like i am running out of petrol. This happens no matter how full the tank is. Sorry i cant be much help, but mine is exactly the same including the smell of unburnt petrol, i have booked it in at the dealers (ESB at bolton ) for a service and to check and balance the carbs. if anything shows up, i will post a reply.

I have a tomtom one fitted on my storm. i drilled a 8mm hole in the bottom half of the screen to fit a bolt that the tomtom bracket can clamp onto. i also wired a lighter socket under the seat to be able to charge when needed, I use it most of the time and have had no problems so far. Stu

I had same sort of problem, with the bike just cut out at high speed.
long story short i have fitted r6 r/r to my storm and also to a friends, I have had no problems with mine cutting out, I am no expert but it seems like a mod worth trying anyway. Stu
