Re: First female world champion

I was watching the race yesterday (Eurosport) and she was really quite fortunate, through a series of mishaps and circumstances, to seal the title by one point. With no discredit to her, the points amassed during the season certainly were sufficient to give her the buffer needed in the final race. T...

Re: MCCT'S

This will be interesting. Whilst we can expect heaps of camaraderie amongst owners, I'm not sure that anyone would offer up their working drawings for what is deemed an exclusive piece of equipment. Of course I might be proven wrong!

Nice series of shots. Cheers!

I guess no one's going to be stumping up 70 grand for the NR? :)

Also sorry to read this. A real opportunistic theft too, to achieve within a 15-min time-frame. :(

Will keep my eyes open in W. Midlands.

Re: MCCTs

You carry on with the OEM ones then. Well, must say I am surprised and concerned to receive such an aggressive response from a long-standing member. My post clearly and vividly questioned the 'history' of the purported CCT problems with no inference or criticism at all about the manual replacements...

Re: MCCTs

Bought my VTR four months ago with 85000 km on the clock, ( OEM cct), and I don´t know about the bike history, ( i dodn´t know about the cct problem then.. And this makes me, as a new owner, wonder. Has there been a MAJOR problem with OEM CCTs, or has there been a possible over-reaction to a proble...

Re: Greetings from St. Petersburg, Russia

Hi Dacen, and welcome. Shame you had to sell, but I hope this forum inspires you to get back on a bike as soon as possible. I am also a new member after recently buying a red 1999 Storm. Currently freshening it up! Many enthusiast will have more than one bike, but I too was surprised at MacV2s eight...

Re: Another Hello

Let me know your thoughts on VTR thirst, it's a beast I simply follow the general consensus that they're thirsty. With brimming it and riding mainly country (no commuting) I'm now getting 110 before the fuel light. Blades will do 150 - 160. No real issue as the enjoyment of the VTR balances the ext...

Re: Brand New SP1 - 0 miles

Surely if these have 'never been run' in 18 or so years they might well need their engines stripping and rebuilding? I have wondered about that also. A major inspection in the least would be necessary. We all know that rubber/neoprene seals would be subject to deterioration. That will always be a p...
