Re: Bilt-Hamber Surfex HD
Think I'll be a convert, too. Never heard of it before. Sounds like a great complement to my 'OCD' kit! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: the theory of evolution
Again late to the party on this thread due to my 'new member' status and continually trawling through interesting posts. Interesting observations from many members. Only yesterday I posted in another thread that for me, the VTR is 'ergonomically perfect'. (I'm 5'9"). As another has pointed out,...

Re: Buying online
read a story recently suggesting oil on ebay couldnt be trusted. fake shell synthetic and mobil 1. fake news? Interesting, because I also saw a report about 'fake' NGK plugs on eBay. I, too, prefer to support local bike shops (LBS), but as you say, they can be far from competitive. I am an ongoing ...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
It's a 16l tank mod l, so at 98 miles the previous owner DID fill it up. You will now learn to have the mileometer set to the trip function and reset every time you refuel. . . Cheers. I religiously do that with my other bikes - but am more used to seeing 150 miles! I guess it's either adapt or p/x...

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I took this one out. What have I been missing? I might sell my Blades and buy a collection of VTRs. Not telling you guys anything you don't already know, but what a magnificent machine, although somewhat of a dinosaur by present standards. For me (at 5'9") it is ergonomically perfect, and it ha...

Hi, I'm late to the party on this thread. Are they OEM or aftermarket cans on your [VTR3545] bike? Any clues if they're still available? Cheers!

Re: Hi there from Germany
superb photos jan - especially the first... taken with your cell phone, or a camera? If they are taken with a cell phone, I'm selling my VTR to buy one!! Must be a very good camera. The clarity is astounding! and you can see the Cannon Camera bag strap hanging out of the tank bag .... thats a give ...

Re: Another Hello
looks clean and tidy nigel. what drew you to the vtr, with having a few fireblades? I'm going to sound like a friggin' idiot, but I wanted a cheaper 'runabout' to save the mileage on my other bikes. (Those with the 'OCD factor' will understand me :) ). I first thought about a CBR600F, and then noti...

Re: hello from maryport
Hi Sniffy, and welcome.
Just bought my 1999 'Storm' yesterday. Big change from my Blades and a fun bike to ride.
There are many VTRs available at good prices. Why not grab one and save the Guzzi for best?

Chinese Fairings
Hi there. I'm considering preserving the OEM fairings (1999 VTR) and installing Chinese, possibly Castrol. Has anyone done this with success? Is there a preferred or reputable (?) seller? I do know that with Fireblades there have been some very 'iffy' fitments, so want to check about VTR first. Also...
