Re: Project 2.0
Thanks guys! Going to give the paint a go over with a mop and polish this week. See if I can cut some of the more minor imperfections out. She’ll never be perfect but still, it’s an overall really clean and original example. Also noticed the wheels have been recently powdercoated…. And whoever did i...

Re: Project 2.0
Update number 3! New clear screen is on (the bike had an iridium one on when I bought it….. and I hated it!) and it’s the best £13 I’ve ever spent. Headstock, and all wheel bearings have been changed. A new set of boots, chain service, oil flush and change, clutch fluid, and the new tanks on! Bikes ...

Re: Project 2.0
Oh! And I also took the lower fairing/belly pan off….
I’m not a massive fan of how they look, so if anyone fancies one as a swap for a standard little chin pan, or has one for sale please hit me up.

Re: Project 2.0
Update time! So, the carbs have been off, had a bath, and have been put back on. All balanced up and running beautifully. I did initially get the i Emulsion tubes the wrong way around (not realising they’re different!) but I swapped them around. Also fitted a new air filter (£9 for a “hiflo” one, an...

Project 2.0
Well. The time has come to get my teeth into another project. My last Firestorm project died due to life circumstances changing. As I’m sure we can all agree on, the last couple of years have been a rollercoaster! I’m extremely fortunate to be a motorcycle tech by trade so that means 1. I’ve got use...

Harris Aluminium Fuel Tank
Heya all! I’ve just managed to buy another firestorm, and Unknown to me when buying it, it’s fitted with a Harris aluminium tank…. In really really nice condition.! I know they’re super rare, and don’t come up for sale often…. But the question is what do people pay for them? Seriously considering bu...

Re: Project bike time!
Your bike is coming together very nicely 8) Chris. Thanks pal! Still a long way to go though. It’s a lot of undoing previous owners poor workmanship or choice of modifications. I love the bike though so it’s well worth it (plus I love to tinker!) May swap the swing arm out tomorrow, that’s the next...

Re: Project bike time!
Well, it’s yime for a long overdue update. There’s been a lot happen lately which has slowed progress on the storm. Garage has been outfitted with proper lighting and power, an epic work bench and all the crap has been either tipped or put into a different storage place, so I’ve finally had the spac...

Re: Quickshifter opinions (Healtech)?
I thought I was quite slick at upshifting, then found out that a quick shifter is MUCH better at it than me... It'll save you half a second on a quarter. And yes, it's fun with the pop and flames....especially as Storms run best a little rich. Honestly, that’s all I care about. I’m not fussed about...

Re: Quickshifter opinions (Healtech)?
Thanks tony, just the advice I needed.
I know the principle of an auto blipper and what’s required for them, this is purely for the smile factor...... sad I know!
Sp1 is definitely on my list of bikes to own!

Re: Quickshifter opinions (Healtech)?
Easy to install and works really well, download the app on your phone to set up also allows for adjustments. I’d say worth the money and sounds good popping on gear change did change down from 6th-5th without clutch by accident once and then read somewhere that you can do it with them from 6th-5th ...
