Re: Little bit more progress....

I know there are more budget ones available. Going to be doing a couple of track days on it though so wanted something better but not the mental expensive of Ohlins, etc. Hopefully get it fitted soon. Well on the plus side..... it would be hard to find a shock that is worse than the original....

Dazza2910 wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 8:30 pm It was £460 direct from Nitron. You can choose the weight of spring and it's colour at no extra cost. Then there are other things like remote preload you can add.
Kind of thought it looked a bit too good to be a budget item

Dazza2910 wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 9:55 pm As much as I'd have loved Ohlins, WP, Penske, etc, they were about twice the price.

That would have taken me well over what the bike should be worth when it's finished.
Just out of curiosity ... how much was the shock and where from ?
If you don’t mind of course :D

Re: Almost had a fault free ride.... almost !

Update.... although I’ve posted my findings on another thread :D Well I did my experiment today. I must say I was a bit surprised. As in better than I expected. Opened it up in 5th gear ! Managed to hit 10,000 rpm about 5mm into the redline, without too much of a problem. Speedo was reading 155 :lol...

Re: Top box

Yeh, £260 on the steep side. If just getting the box keep a look out for a set of arms and plate, then you can fit most alternatives to it. No, that was the whole thing. Rack plate and box. There is a bit cheaper on there but I kinda chose a bigger box. Price seems about average from what I’ve seen...

Re: Top box

Here's what's possible with a bit of work https://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=18681&start=17175#p449570 I think Givi is the way to go but it requires a few modifications. You can easily put a Renntec rack on but that is a bit light weigh and not really strong enough to hold a top box...

Re: Your top speed

Well back on topic :D Last Sunday I had a quick look see, at what my top end speed was. Turned out to be 150 on the clock. Held on for longer and with a tail wind it might have hit 155 but was certainly out of puff by 150. Tried an experiment today. Kinda part two  Last weak, as I thought the b...
