Speedo healer.

Just a quick question. I currently have a 190/50 tyre on ther rear but am changing back to stock now that it finally needs changing. Whilst the wheel is out i am putting a 43 tooth rear sprocket on. I have seen calculations on here about how much it will put the speedo out, but to be honest maths ar...

The longer bolt would (if it does not seat on the outer cct case) just (sort of but not properly) lock the cct into position. If it has not seated then the cct will piss oil out as it gets collected due to the angle and gravity. You sure the timing marks are lining up ok, it's the mark and the lett...

Sorry but i'm not very good at describing things am I When i replaced the spring on the CCT, i had no benchmark as the previous spring was bust. So i screwed the thread on the CCT out as far as i could, then preloaded the spring before locking into place and refitting. Then i removed the locking tab...

When i put it back last time it was quiet as anything, and running like a dream. Then this morning it's back. It's not too loud, but enough to tell you that there is a problem. One question though. When i replaced the CCT i wound the 'worm' out as far as i practically could, then wound the spring ba...

Right thats it..... Totally pee'd off now. Bike was running like a dream. Balanced the carbs, tucked it up in bed every night and read it story and this is how it thanks me... Go to take it out today, and the bloomin rattle from the rear is back. So after kicking the cat repeatedly, i have come to t...

My wife bought me one from the NEC last year. Paid 100 for it, but it is brill. Full armour (better than my textile) and a removable showerproof liner. I have found it an absolute godsend in this weather, BUT, it is still hot, especially when sat at lights etc..... Would i buy another, to bloomin ri...

Hi Steve, Pleased too hear you've got it sorted with no dire consequences :!: That was exactly why I asked that question in my last post ' Steve how did you go about working out the correct tension when fitting the new spring ' I bet you're glad too :?:  :D Chris. I am, but the problem is, be...

Well got it sorted. Whipped the rear rocker cover off (after the tank and all) to find that the chain was not as tight as it should be. There was hardly any pressure from the CCT and i think it was me that didn't put it in correctly.... Anyhow, as i take it of, click, click and the bloomin chain jum...

Oh and i forgot to mentio, she doesn't seem to be running as well as normal, not quite as responsive. Nothing that makes me sit up and really notice, just a slight dro off.

All valves are ok and no other strange noises.

All ideas gratefully received.

Steve how did you go about working out the correct tension when fitting the new spring :?: Also is this rattle you heard before changing the spring the same rattle as you are hearing now with the new spring fitted:?: Chris. The spring was knackered in the rear so no tension so all i could do was wi...

Funny noise. Not CCT (I think).

Well, this has me baffled. Had a bit of rattling form the rear camchain on the Firestorm last weekend, so i took the tensioner out and replaced the spring in it. Did it properly with the rocker cover off to make sure i didn't disturb the timing. Anyway, she had been riding tickety boo until this mor...

Bought one in white. Absolute bargain. Sprayed it up like has been said with a 5.99 can from Halfrauds nd it really does look, and fit nice.

That really must be my bargain of the year..... :D

Sorry guys, but it wont work. 'They' do not need to caution you to find out who the driver was, that is exempt from the caution. Then once they find out who that was, they do not ask you any questions other than, do you want to pay the exorbitant amount and be flogged, or go to court and be shafted ...
