Re: Who's found insurance for a modified bike?

Adrian Flux (Bikesure). My premium didnt change a penny, yet I declared every bloody mod (shock, lever, rearsets, Power Commander, headers, end can, braided lines, master cylinder, the lot).

Cheapest prices too.

They are clips form the fillum "The Road Racer". Get it off Bittorrent (or I can send a copy if you cant find it)....it's a fantastic look into the world of 1970 road-racing in norn Iron (all greasy lank hair, fags hanging form the corners of gobs and wife, kids, bike, beer all loaded into kn...

Re: Blowing rear exhaust gasket

Keep an eye on wrapped exhausts. A few guys over on Speedzilla wrapped the rear pipes on their SPs to give the rear shock an easier time.
The higher temps really kill the headers....the stainless isn't of a very high quality. The pipes were literally rotting form the inside out when wrapped.

Re: Dani - ATTN do not read until having seen the Leguna Rac

I think NOT No-one could ride the piece of crap for a start Handling bad breakdowns MR Rossi made that bike and Yamaha know it ) Hmm...the M1 was second in the championship in 2002 in it's first year, and Max rode it to 2 wins. Third in 2003. For sure, Rossi and Burgess transformed it, but it wasn'...

Re: Dani - ATTN do not read until having seen the Leguna Rac

ALL so VERY VERY TRUE Can`t really say i want him to crash coz it is Rossi`s bike but again he is GOOD you must admit Lorenzo is a double world champion, so he is the real thing. Yes Rossi helped to develop the bike, but it was getting close to being a strong bike before he came on board. As for th...

Re: Scotchland....This summer?

Right, so what did I learn? 1800 miles in six days is doable on a Fireblade. It aint no tourer, but if you travel light, then the bike will handle it fine. I love the scenery in Scotland. I really feel at peace in the far highlands, and being up there is good for the soul. Fireblade engines are wond...

Re: Scotchland....This summer?

The wind was properly blowing at this stage........coming across the bridge was fun! I have a wee stop to have a think, and decide the head back to Ullapool. I didnt fancy going further north as the sky was black as hell that way. heading back up the A894 I get blown out in front of an approaching m...

Re: Scotchland....This summer?

Right...getting near the end. Had a good few pints in the Seaforth (great seafood). Got talking to a couple of blokes form the NorthEast who were on their way back from going over the top, and were going to head down the west side the next morning. Staggered back to the B&B suitably refreshed, o...

Re: Oil leak from gearbox SP2

I think I have managed to bloody break another bike! I have oil dripping down from gearbox final drive shaft under the front sprocket. I thought these SP's had a cassette type gearbox but from the workshop manual it looks like its not :eek2 I dont fancy the frickin bill from a crankcase split! Any ...

Re: sp1 tourer! ;-)

That's why I asked Steve. Got to agree-don't think I'd trust the undertray/plate mount to hold that kind of weight. Not without a better bracing system in place. You'd probably be better copying this sports rack system Marra. http://www.ventura-bike.co.uk/products/bikepacksystem.aspx I had similar ...

Re: sp1 tourer! ;-)

Do those rear brackets just mount into the plate/plastics Marra? yes john, drilled through each side, 12mm threaded bar right through, couple of locking nuts on the inside (cant see em in the pics, then bolted the support bars to the outside, its very solid! the heaviest thing i could find was 20kg...

Re: Scotchland....This summer?

Right, so where was I? Ah yes, bombing down the A87 towards the Isle of Skye, along the banks of Lochalsh towards Skye. I stop off in Balmacara for a wee break and to make some phonecalls. The wind is getting up again, and in the distance i can see the Skye Bridge. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/...
