I had mine up on the paddock stand and the oil was still in it. It didn't go anywhere. The two fairing screws need to come off to get access to two generator cover screws. The difficult bit is routing the wires outof the bike. I know this is a bodge to an extent but I managed to get away with using ...

A layer of acid etch over a cleaned standard cover. Then used Holts beige metallic, 3 layers of laquer too. It should break up that side lovely

where'd that come from?

anyway, are the small bolt clearance holes supposed to be 6.5mm? Purely as a reference to ensure printing has scaled correctly of course.

i say mate, i mean ex colleage who can set a machine up and run off a good few sets but i could provide some drawings which normally would cost a bomb but im nice! this is all academic of course until someone has the kindness or decency to loan out a set ( im actually thinking harris or gilles, not ...

my apologies carl i was at work and had to bash in a sneaky reply before i got busted, i didnt mean to come across as facetious. what i mean is theres different gaskets to do different things. as an example the v8 has a papery one for the water pump, composite tin / weird stuff for the inlet, metal ...

I don't want to use just chopped crushed cardboard. I thought the blue / green material was oil and fuel resistant whereas the paper card mess was just for thermostat housings?

This rover v8 I just rebuilt gas every type of gasket material available used on it!
