Mines a 2000 and has done 400,000 miles without so much as an oil change !!. That tank range has been a bugger though

Somebody mentioned to me that the bars off a VFR 800 might fit, has anyone heard of this?

I have recently fitted a baglux tank cover and bag, but I am struggling to reach the bars when the bag is full. does anyone know of any mods that can be done to raise the bars?
I am starting to get a sunken chest

Cheers for that, was it solid enough to use as a backrest? and is nonfango better or worse than givi?. I have used givi in the past and found it to be excellent quality ie no leaks,solid fit etc, but I havent seen nonfango in the flesh. When I finally get it sorted I will post pics for future ref.

I have just fitted a baglux tank cover and alpha tank bag to my 2000 model. If you are on the heavy/shortish side like me :roll: (5'10" & 14.5 St) you have to be careful which bag you fit. I first tried the Tektra bag but it dug into my chest on the move so I had to change it to the Alpha m...

Theres a place in Leigh that I have used in the past, cant remember the name of the place but it is down the side of Blockbuster Video on Holden Rd. He is a vintage bike racer so gives a lot of leeway with other bikes.
